Top 10 Electric Two-Wheelers in India with Highest Claimed Range

Autos & Vehicles

In recent years, India has seen a significant increase in the sales of electric two-wheelers. Every day that goes by, there are more options to pick from, which makes the decision-making process more difficult.

The range is one of the most important factors to take into account when purchasing an EV, and it frequently ends up making the decision. This list contains the electric two-wheelers that have the greatest range on the market right now.

The range values listed here are those that the manufacturers claim (usually, they are the ARAI-tested range figures), and real-world distances will almost always be lower. This list comprises high-speed electric two-wheelers (top speed>25kph) that are available for sale in India. In several instances, we were able to independently confirm the real-world range, and we have shared the results.

Please take note that this list only includes cars that are now available for purchase; it does not include cars that have been ‘launched’ but have yet to get delivery commitments. At the end of this article, we’ll list some notable products that fit under that category.

The Best Electric Two-Wheelers in India with Highest Claimed Range

The following are the top 10 electric two-wheelers

Komaki Ranger

The Komaki Ranger is a cruiser-styled electric motorcycle that makes claims to be the first of its kind in the nation. It has a 3.6kWh battery, which Komaki claims will allow it to travel up to 200 kilometers. It is powered by a 4kW BLDC motor, which is said to have a top speed of 80kph. A fake exhaust system with LED lights at the exhaust tips and speakers to create a fake engine sound are some further identifying features.

Ola S1 Pro

With good cause, the Ola S1 Pro has recently been one of the most talked-about electric two-wheelers. In our testing, the S1 Pro’s motor, which has a peak output of 8.5 kW, successfully propels it to a top speed of 99.8 kph. A 3.97kWh battery and an ARAI-certified range of 181km are also included.

However, in the real world, we were able to go 102 km in Sport mode and 127 km in Normal mode before running out of battery, which is surprisingly close to the 135 km “Ola True Range” claimed by the manufacturer.

Odysse Hawk Plus

A 2.88kwh portable lithium-ion battery is included with the Odysse Hawk Plus, which the company claims can travel 170 km on a single charge. It offers a top speed of 45kmph with its tiny 1.8kW motor. There are five color options for the Hawk: Black, White, Blue, Red, and Silver. Cruise control and a music system are among the features.

Hero Electric NYX HX (Dual Battery)

The NYX HX (Dual Battery) scooter from Hero Electric, the industry leader, is the item listed after that. It claims to have a range of 165 kilometers thanks to its dual 1.54 kWh battery configuration. This scooter has a comparable peak speed of 42kmph to the Hawk Plus above. The general layout appears to lean more toward functionality. For instance, the scooter has a split seat that may be used as a backrest when a person is traveling alone. The venom-green coil springs for the suspension are another eye-catching feature.

Revolt RV 400

The Revolt RV400 has long been a fixture in the Indian motorcycle community. The manufacturer says that the 3.24kWh battery pack used in the RV400 electric motorcycle can provide a range of 150 kilometers. It is equipped with a 3kW motor, which gives it a top speed of 85kmph. Revolt also sells a motorcycle with less power, the RV 300, which, when operated in Eco mode, has a range of up to 180 kilometers. Its 25km/h top speed in that mode prevents it from being included in this list. Additionally, clients can physically book a motorbike at a dealership rather than online at this time.

Okinawa IPraise+

The IPraise+ has a similar design to the majority of petrol scooters now on the market, with a big front fascia that is dominated by the headlamp located on the apron.  It has a 3.3kWh lithium-ion battery pack, which gives it a 139km range, according to the manufacturer. With the help of its 2.5kW motor, it can also reach a top speed of 58kmph.

Hero Electric Optima HX (Dual Battery)

The 1.53kWh portable battery pack included with Hero Electric’s Optima HX gives it a stated range of 122 km. The scooter comes in four colors—red, blue, silver, and white—and features a traditional commuter style. Its 1.2 kW motor allows it to reach a top speed of 42 kmph. It has cruise control as well.

Ampere Magnus EX

A 2.29kWh lithium-ion battery pack powers the Ampere Magnus EX, giving it a stated 121km of range. A 2.1kW motor gives the Magnus EX a top speed of 50kmph. Recently, Ampere also disclosed a relationship with Bounce to use the latter’s battery-swapping network.

Pure EV EPluto 7G

The business claims that the 2.5kWh battery pack in the Pure EPluto allows the EPluto 7G to travel 120km before running out of power.  According to Pure, the EPluto 7G’s BLDC hub motor’s max output of 2.2kW and nominal output of 1.5kW are sufficient for a 0 to 40kph time of 5 seconds. It appears to be a rather apparent imitation of a Vespa in terms of design.

Odysse Evoqis

Another e-bike on this list is the Odysse Evoqis, a completely faired motorcycle with a disturbingly similar design to the Kawasaki Ninja 300. With its 4.32 kWh lithium-ion battery, it is said to have a 100 km range. It has a 3kW motor that gives it a top speed of 80 km/h.

Conclusion

While these electric two-wheelers have the greatest range currently available, those numbers are always rising thanks to advances in technology. A number of models that will soon be available on the market promise to be included on this list.

a start-up situated in Bengaluru The ‘One’ electric scooter from Simple Energy, which has an IDC range of 236 km, will shortly start being delivered. According to the manufacturer, the scooter may even be equipped with an extra battery pack to increase the range to 300km. However, once the scooters are on our roads, these allegations can only be confirmed.

A second Bengaluru-based start-up, Oben Electric, recently unveiled its electric bike, the Rorr, which likewise boasts a 200-kilometer IDC range and a 150-kilometer real-world range.

Keeping with the e-bike motif, Pune-based The Kratos R, a long-awaited electric motorcycle from Tork Motors, finally went on sale. While the real-world promise is just 120km, the optimal range is 180km.
