The aggregate sales of electric two-wheelers did, however, significantly decrease by 57 percent from May to June, reaching their lowest level in the previous year. In May, Ola sold over 35,000 copies. This fall occurred when the Ministry of Heavy Industries (MHI) made a substantial declaration regarding the reduction of subsidies for electric two-wheelers. Previously set at 40% of the vehicle’s ex-factory price, the maximum subsidy cap has been lowered to just 15%.
Three models of the S1 electric scooter from Ola Electric are available: the S1 Air, S1, and S1 Pro. The S1 Air model, which is the least expensive choice in their lineup, will start to be delivered by the company this month. The updated FAME-2 subsidy, which went into effect in June 2023, lowers the price of the Ola S1 Air, which has a 3-kWh battery, to an alluring Rs 1.40 lakh.
According to the manufacturer, the S1 Air can travel up to 125km on a single full charge with a 4.5kW (6bhp) output and a top speed of 85kmph.
According to reports, the corporation is also developing an electric vehicle, which might be introduced in 2024.
Ola Electric just opened its 750th Experience Centre (EC) as part of its expansion plans, and it plans to open a total of 1,000 centers by the end of the month of August. These facilities provide customers with a range of services and act as convenient one-stop shops.
